Here comes the New Year: which path will you go?
Learn what you need to do in order to make change happen.
Kristjan Vingel
On your path, there's a fork in the road. You've come to a point where a choice needs to be made. It needs to be made now.
There are two options
You'll continue doing the same things, embark on the same old behaviors - and of course - get more of the same old results as always.
Or, you can abandon this current path, and pick a new one.
To change a path means to change your actions. It's the only way. Action is the one single thing that can change your future. Not thinking, not wishing, not praying, not hoping, not setting goals. Action.
So, what's it going to be? Last year you said that you were going to start doing this and that and change yourself completely. But you're in the same position. Nothing new.
Maybe this doesn't apply to you. Good for you. You're in the top 1%!
But for most of us, it's the same story day after day, month, and year. Same thoughts, and the same promises. Who are you kidding? "This time is different!", "This time I mean it!"
I believe you. You do mean it. That's not the issue here. The problem is not in the wanting. It's in the "doing" - or lack of it.
Here's, the thing. Forget about motivation and goals and stop imagining how you'd look if you'd reached your goals. Forget all that. Trust me on that. It hasn't served you so far, it won't this time.
Instead, put one foot after the other. Don't think, just do. Every day. Then repeat with the other metaphorical foot. That's it. That's what success looks like. It's nothing more.
There are no "break-throughs". It's doing the same boring thing over and over and over again. Every. Single. Day.
That's the only way to get the result you want.
I hoped you enjoyed the article.
I also want to let you know that I'm working on a product that would help people change their lives. Changing one's behavior can be extremely difficult, but it all starts from the mind. If you change your mindset, the rest will follow. The question is - how to change your thinking?
Anyway, I will definitely post about it as soon as it's ready - might take a few months though. So maybe in the first quarter of 2023. 🤔
And let's hope 2023 will be a much better year. May your dreams come true.
